Angie started singing at a young age, with her Fisher Price tape player and microphone. Never one to be shy of the stage, she was in numerous musicals and performances throughout her school years.
Angie attended Augustana College, in Rock Island, IL. This is the alma mater of 2 of her musical mentors in high school, and she graduated with a B.A. in Instrumental Music Education. Although she focused on band, she was still in many vocal ensembles in college, including the top-tier choir, the Augustana Chamber Singers.
After graduating she moved to Connecticut, and started singing with the St. Andrews Catholic Church singers, a group of eight, before the church closed its doors a year later.
She also joined Sweet Adelines upon arriving on the East Coast. She starred in the Sound of New England Chorus (SONE) before moving to join Millennium Magic Chorus in the fall of 2009. She has competed with Millennium Magic in both regional and international contests, and with her quartet VOCE, which is currently ranked 16th internationally.
Angie has directed Valley Shore Acappella for almost 4 years, and loves every minute of it. She uses her time in front of the chorus to work on her rehearsal and directing skills, and thanks each and every one of the members for giving her this opportunity.
